Heater problem
1983 Chevy Malibu V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic
----------------------------------------------------------------
I've replaced the heater switch, the relay [twice] and the resistor I have checked the wires out of the relay. purple wire has power at low and med. speed, at high speed it kills the power on purple wire out of relay. would the motor be bad? A friend told me on some of these their is a wire along the fire wall, this car does not have that.

At the blower motor relay orange wire -remove the relay and check for battery voltage on the orange wire terminal with key in run position.

The high speed circuit comes from the blower switch straight to the relay then to the motor.
