1991 Chevy Lumina Car, 3.1L. 175K miles. This car will not run unless the right front fuel injector is unplugged. Found this by accident. It will run on 5 cylinders but as soon as you plug in the sixth injector the car stalls and will not run. Will replacing this injector fix this problem? Is there a way to check to see if the injector is bad? Is there allot of disassembly required to make this type of repair?

Get an ohmmeter and measure the resistance across the injector terminal should read 8-12 ohms. if out of range replace it.

Its dragging the rest bcuz the solenoid its shorted out-if its the wire unplugging or plugging it will not make a difference but it does.

Good Luck!
