2003 Chevy Lumina Error message

Hi ,
I just purchased a second hand 2003 model lumina , I didnt test that much on a highway due to busy time . When I test it on highway on the beginning it was ok but suddenly when it accelerate it shown a message on the screen " check the engine " I parked the car and stop then check the engine ( OIL , WATER , BELT ) everything is ok , then start again the error was gone even I push the gas pedal on half ( it is on park position ) but when I start moving around 20 km / hour then it came back again the same error .

Please help

It is indicating you have a fault in the system, and since it only occurs with speed, it may relate to transmission, torque converter, or the like. There is no way for you to check for fault codes, and since the light comes on there should at least be one in history. You will have to seek a scan tool, or a code reader in this case, and find what code is in the system. With a code, we can narrow it down and offer some guidance.
