1999 Chevy Lumina stumped

we just changed our transmission filter today because it wasn't shifting out of first gear and now it shifts fine but the rpm's are at 4 everytime it shifts to another gear......is my transmission going?

Hi there,

I would be getting a transmission line pressure test done this will give you more of an idea where you are with the condition of the transmission.
