1999 Chevy Lumina Oil Pan Removal

Has anyone removed the oil pan on a similar year Lumina? I am in the process of removing. Folowing directions from AllData, Mitchell & Chiltons...I have the engine raised using a transverse engine fixture but I can not get the oil pan out. I need input from anyone that has done the process before. Thnak you!

you will need to move the crankshaft so that the wieghts aren't in the way.
