WHEN I TURN ON THE AIR IT DOES NOT COME OUT OF THE VENTS

The direction of the air is actuated by doors in the HVAC system that run by vacuum. Chances are you have a vacuum leak under the dash or the supply hose from the engine to the switch is broken. Check for damaged or disconnected hoses. If you have the engine running, you may be able to hear a hissing sound.
