1998 Chevy Lumina why does center window brake light light

i have 1 1998 chevy lumina?

I have a problem where when I hit the brakes only the center brake light comes on and not the side ones. the running lights al;l work and the bulbs check out. what do i do and where do the brake wire split after the center light>

Hi:
check the light sockets. See if you are getting power to them. If you are, the sockets are bad.

As far as the wiring, I believe the 3rd brake light gets power last.

Let me know what you find.
