my car squeals and tries to overheat and i dont know why. i think its one of my pulleys, but im not sure

You have a serpentine belt that runs all pulleys. If any one of the components starts to seize or lock up, it stops them all. One of them is the water pump. If it stops turning or slows down, the car is going to overheat. Possibly the belt itself is worn or loose and this would bring the same results.
