Oh Wise ones. I just inherited a nice Lumina and other than this one problem it runs great. Under acceration whether hot or cold it feels like it it either missing badly or starving for fuel. It feels more like a miss although it idles fine and under "normal" accelration is comes up to speed nicely. It is only when you mash the accelerator it hesitates and "bucks". The rest of the time the car runs fine, sans a moaning in the AC motor when on high. Intake gaskets have been replaced, and a minor vacumn leak was repaired. I have used starter fluid and sprayed around all the vacumn lines and no surging occurs. Idle is fine and when revved at idle it is like a rev limiter action occurs. I think that is normal but am not sure. I have cleaned the TB and MAF sensor, replaced the PCV and now need some guidance as to what to do next.

Thanks,

Pat
