1998 Chevy Lumina brakes going to floor

Brakes problem
1998 Chevy Lumina 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

when I apply my brakes the car stops but if I hold the pedal down it goes slowly to the floor. before this happened my anti lock break light would come on and go off at different times.

Check brake fluid
if low add and check for leak
in the brake line
if full and no leaks suspect bad master cylinder
