Brakes problem
1997 Chevy Lumina 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

the past few days...when i press on the brake pedal, a light on the console lights up "low traction" and my car slides on the road like i am stopping on ice. the weather has been beautiful. i took it to the car shop and the guy said that nothing was wrong with the brakes....but now it's doing the sliding thing again.....any advice as to what's going on??? thanks

I would check and make sure all tire pressures are the same and that each corner has functioning brakes. If that checks out, you can also check the waveform of each ABS wheel speed sensor.

What's most likely happening is something is causing a false reading in one of the wheel speed sensors so the traction module thinks you are skidding when you are infact, not.
