My lumina shifts hard on the first shift or and sometimes alittle late on first shift when starting from a stopped position.Took to check codes said 1870 Manufacture transmission control. What does this mean.

P1870 relates to Transmission Component Slippage could be caused by the torque converter clutch valve or the transmission valve body.
