Transmission problem
1996 Chevy Lumina Automatic

My girlfriends father has a 1996 Chevy Lumina. I dont know the mileage or engine size off hand, but he says the oil cooler line is broke? Would he still be able to drive the car? Or is it just safe to let the car be?

It's not an "Oil Cooler Line". Oil is what your engine uses. You're speaking of a "Transmission Cooler Line". And the answer to your question is: ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!

If you drive at all with a leaking cooler line, you will completely ruin your transmission within a few miles and it won't be fixable, only replaceable.
