I have a 96 lumina and it starts fine and runs right for about 5 min but then once you stop at a stop sign and take off it trys to die if you take off to quick, and if you let off of the accelorator and slowly ease into the accelorator and it sometimes will keep running. But still trys to cut out. It dont have a problem with starting after this happens, but it has not started for me before a few times, but I just leave it set and go back later and it usually starts.

Dirty fuel injectors (cleaning the injectors often fixes this).
Bad MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor
Bad TPS (throttle position) sensor
Bad or dirty MAF (mass airflow) sensor
Low fuel pressure (leaky fuel pressure regulator or weak fuel pump)
Vacuum leaks (intake manifold, vacuum hoses, throttle body, EGR valve)
Bad gasoline (fuel contaminated with water or too much alcohol)

Sometimes, what feels like a hesitation is actually ignition misfire rather than lean misfire. The causes of ignition misfire may include:

Dirty or worn spark plugs
Bad plug wires
Weak ignition coil
Wet plug wires
