1995 Chevy Lumina ?brakes or rotters

my brakes will jerk sometimes.usually when i come to a slow stop.

what do you mean jerk? like right before you stop it will surge forward then back?

i would suspect a issue with the torque convertor or bad ball joints before brakes if that is whats happening.
