1995 Chevy Lumina?Brakes or rotters

My brakes will jerk sometimes. Usually when I come to a slow stop.

What do you mean jerk? Like right before you stop it will surge forward then back?

I would suspect a issue with the torque convertor or bad ball joints before brakes if that is whats happening.
