Hi, our lumina dies after it warms up. A guy said it might be the catyillic comverter would that be it or something else.

Check the ignition module. It is located under the distributor cap. Sometimes the module will fail but work while cold. After it heats up it will fail and you will get no spark and/or gas. It is only held down by 2 bolts and can be taken to advanced auto parts for testing. Make sure you get some dielectric grease to put on it before you reinstall though or it will get damaged by the heat.
