I have tried to do some research on this myself and even asked the goons at autozone. I think i have some vacuum line problems. My car has a helluva time starting. When it does start i have to mash the gas and hope it keeps runnin after it chugs and splutters and then surges like its gonna explode.
After the car is running it surges even when im not hittin the gas very much like its tryin to take off. If this is a vacuum problem, does anyone know where i can get a diagram of the vacuum lines so i can fix this?

Oh yeah, i did see a very small plastic tube that had a t connector and some other tubes missing some plastic tubing and one end was open and sucking air.

I would say fix the leaks and go from there, but I need the engine size? 3.1 or 3.8?

I have a litle knowledge on cars, but i am no expert
-_-. It is a 3.1 engine, i see the tube, but does the tube go somewhere? Or do i just cap it off? There is an open spot at the T connector with no tube, at times i have just stuck the little piece of tubing i have coming off the t connector into that since it is the same line, i think. I need to figure out where all this stuff goes.

Capping it off, is better than letting it suck air! But here is the diagram, good luck!

coolbeans, ty for the drawing. I checked those lines and they all appeared good. I also checked something else out, not sure what this is, maybe the EGR? it has a plastic tube and and rubber hose attached to it with a wiring harness on the back side. The canister can be pushed in by hand and is linked to the throttle. The rubber hose is connected, but soft and spongy and kinda dry rotted looking, the pastic hose was broken, so i connected it to the vacuum line/t connector that was the only thing right there and close.
Car appeared to run better, but will have to wait untill it has set a while, which is when it has the most problems. What is this canister linked to the throttle and what can/will it affect? I appreciate the help and will donate if there is a place to here on payday. ty

It has a rubber hose on the side that is kinda soft and dry rotted a bit, runs down and where i cant find. Has a smaller plastic tube attached to it and a wiring harness on the back, it is linked to the throttle as well. I also noticed a chirping noise this morning. It only happens when im in gear and accelerating, not when im in parj and idling or hittin the pedal. Not sure what that is, does not sound like a belt issue at all, dunno.
