1993 Chevy Lumina Door Locking mechanism

My driver's side door latch is broken and I used to be able to open it from the inside until I took the assembly apart to try and figure out what was wrong with it. I undid it and put it back the same as it was and now the door won't open from inside or outside. How do I fix this problem?

Remove the door panel. Something had to have come disconnected. Check to make sure the linkage is still connected at the latch.
