HI, I have a 1993 Chevy Lumina Euro. I have a problem once in a while with my car over heating in traffic. As long as the car is doing 35 mph plus the car will stay cool. I have had the car at operation temps and I have seen the AC fan kick in to help cool the car. But the fan on the passenger side will not turn on. I have checked Fuses and fusable Links and sensors. I wonder if the fan ever turns on. Its free and all works find. I even hooked a jumper wire over to the fan and it works fine. What could be the problem. I'm stummped. I have seen other with the same problem with there cars. I have even called GM and they said they have not had a recall on this and have no knollege about problems with these cars. Is this just a defalt with GM and this car. Please help. Again thanks.

fan isn't getting electric to turn on then. check your wires and back probe till you find a short or broken wire. id say coolant temp sens but if your guage works its unlikely. the pass fan is the coolant fan and should turn on when the stat opens. also a new thermostat wouldn't hurt a thing.
