I can't pull the crankshaft sensor out?

Yes, the can get stuck inside the block due to oil deposits. I would grab the sensor with a pair of channel locks and wiggle the sneor back and forth which should loosen up the seal so you can start pulling the sensor out. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
