Engine problem
1992 Chevy Lumina V6 Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 114000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
My car is sputtering and jerking and it dies whenever I stop. It starts up fine and if I'm driving at a steady pace it seems to run fine but if I'm stopping or slowing down it seems to have issues. Please help!

change the throttle position sensor located to the right/back of the intake. also, right below that is an idle air sensor, both run about $40. the other thing I did was take out a pint of tranny fluid and put in a pint of seafoam trans tune. this lubricates the torque control clutch inside the tranny. since I did this, the car stopped stalling and it idles at 700 rpm. hope this helps. its a cheap fix. you will need an allen wrench to remove/install the sensors. good luck...
