1991 Chevy Lumina My 91 Lumina is throwing codes 43 and 53

1991 Chevy Lumina Two Wheel Drive Automatic 380000 miles
i would like to know what the reason would be that my car is throwing these two codes? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi Brandon,
There are a couple defs for the codes you provided. Here they are.
DTC - 43 Electronic Spark Control (ESC) Circuit
DTC - 43 Knock sensor error
DTC - 53 System voltage too high
DTC - 53 Digital EGR Valve solenoid 1 error
So, if you will give a detailed description of you problem we can go from there.

Its been stalling out once in a while and the exaust sounds like its running rough so I wonder if one ofthe sensors is gone maybe?

Sorry for delay in getting back with you.
When was your last tune up?
If it is running rough then it could just be that it needs a tune up. With the OBD1 Systems it doesn't give or register a misfire or multiple misfires.
