Hi, I Have a 1993 Escort and there is a pice that broke off the other day on the back wheel and it kind of looks like a fork at one end and then the other end goes to the tire but I don't know what the name of the part is. If you could tell me that would be great.

If it's about 1 inch wide with curved sides about 1/4 in up and 4 to 6 inches long it could belong the the emerg brake cable.
