2005 Chevy Impala w/ abt 50,000 miles. Speedometer started registering the wrong speed- either too high or too low, sometimes even zero. Now it stays on 35mph and never moves from it no matter if the car is moving or not. What can I do about this? It is a 3.4L engine.

What's the engine size? If unable to determine.
Okay have the vehicle speed sensor check at transmission and the speedometer head for a start then comeback, also could be a wiring or TCM/CVM.
