I have a 2003 Chevy Impala, 3.4 Liter which has done a little over 81,000 miles.

To give a little background, at the end of last summer we started having electrical probelms. The A/C / Heater works but we can't adjust which vents it blows from. The Cruise Control stopped working (the button lights on the steering wheel don't even come on) and the Airbag light is always on.

More recently, the car has occasionally refused to start and the security light has come on. My searches of the internet suggest that this is caused by a faulty starter switch. It's annoying but infrequent enough to not be a major problem.

Last night though the headlights stopped working. The orange lights at the side work as do the full beam lights but there is nothing I can do to get the normal headlights to come on. It's not the bulbs, they're ok.

Any ideas what might be causing the problem?

Thanks

Peter

On the P/S under the hood is a fuse block, and the fuses for the lights is in this location it should be a 10amp fuse (CHECK IT FIRST)

The high beam switch on the columm could also be the problem I didnt have any head lights and found that there is a small switch which breaks and causes the lights to fail (all) it is the combination switch for the indicators, wipers. high/low beam. They cost anywhere from $50.00 and up

Hope this helps
