As I was driving, just stopped. I checked the timing and the timing belt and they seem to be ok. The car tries but does not turn over. I have checked numerous sensors and am now at a loss. What else could it be?

What to check next

Diagnostic guidance. Suggested checks and possible repairs are separate from the owner's reported results.

Obtain a proper fuel-pressure measurement with the correct equipment and specification before replacing the regulator or another pump.

Yes, there is fuel pressure in the line (at the filter) and there was fuel in the line at the throttle body injector earlier but when I just checked the line at the throttle body injector was dry even after trying to start it a few times. Bad fuel pump? The relay on the fuel pump is good.

Replaced fuel pump, still no pressure at throttle body. Relay is good. Current is getting to fuel pump. At the end of my rope...don't know what else to try.

You need to check for fuel pressure first.

Discussion summary

car will not start

A vehicle stopped while driving and would not restart. Fuel delivery became the focus, but replacing the pump did not restore starting. The owner eventually clarified that fuel pressure had not actually been measured and had ordered a regulator.

Reported outcome: The no-start remained unresolved.

Statements that power reached the pump did not include loaded measurements. Fuel observed in a line was not a quantified pressure test.
