2008 Chevy Impala mileage

Was getting 32.4 mpg on highwat and 21 mpg in town. Had oil and filter changed at dealers and mileage went to 17 mpg on highway and 12 in town. With no explination by dealer except to changs service station for gasoilin.

Typical response by a dealer who is responsible for warranty work. I would think about finding someone else to work on the car and only taking it to the dealer when a warranty repair is needed.

Fuel miliage doesn't get chopped in half from gasoline.

I'd press the service manager harder on this.

Things that can affect fuel mileage that may be part of your problem is longer warm up periods if you are in a cold climate. air pressures in tires, although the TPMS should alert you or drag on the wheels like a e-brake on.
