2008 Chevy Impala Door Lock Actuator

Both door lock actuators went out on my back doors, what is the cause of this? Is it due to mistreatment of doors?

did they both go out at the same time?

There has been no mistreatment of the doors. There has been a lot of issues with the style of door locks that Gm has been using for the last 3 years. Very common problem, more than likely the will require replacement.
