Noises problem
2007 Chevy Impala 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

air conditioning quit blowing cold air & made squeaking noises last week which I shut off. Now I get a less noticable squeaking noise from surpintine bet area when I start it up but gets less after running a while. This is wtih air off. Does this need immediate attention or is it a compressor problem?

Yes it does sound like a compressor problem,sounds like the bearing is going in the pulley.
