Hi,
I have a "06 Impala and I have had to replace the battery about a year ago because it would die over night. After that it worked great and no troubles. It has been a year and it is doing it again. So I took it back as the battery was under warrenty and the tech said they would not cover the warrenty. When I asked why they said there was no code for a bad battery. Now is there such a code for a bad battery? I do have mechanical abilites and know that if the battery is dead it resets the computer so a code would not stay for a period of time. And also a bad cell can not be detected by a computer as there are no sensor hooked to it. If there is a code will someone please let me know.

Thank You

Hi there,

The battery should be load tested and if faulty should be replaced, there is no code for battery faults let's check for a battery darin here is a guide to help.
