2005 Chevy Impala wipers

Electrical problem
2005 Chevy Impala 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic
----------------------------------------------------------------
The cars wipers will work properly if turned on. however whe they are turned off they remain the the up positon. the range of motion is un affected. my question is what may be causing this or what can be done to fix this problem.

I'll get the troubleshooting tree if you like, but I have yet to see it be anything other than the control module (circuit board) that sets ontop of the motor.

You must get the one with the circuit board.
