2005 Chevy Impala the sensor

The car lights come on in the daytime but when its time to change to the night lights they do not work?

Check for faulty daytime running lamp (DRL) relay located in the underhood junction block - top (on front of right strut tower) if it tests good then most likely the DRL ambient light sensor is faulty (on top right side of dash)
