Struts

I had my struts replaced (front & back) and a front end alignment done. Car was good for the first 1000 miles and now I have the upper boot on the front rubbing and the back bounces, front end pops, grinds (not just the boot) and the steering wheel is now off center and will turn (slip) sometimes with no response from the car. This happens while driving straight down the road. The steering wheel will turn but the car continues straight. There is a feeling of floating sometimes. I have had it back to the shop and neither of the tech's there can explain why it is doing it but have both drove it and agree that there is something not right.

Sounds like the absorber has failed. This is not uncommon on replacement parts because if the seal is not installed correctly or it just is damaged, they will leak and eventually have an issue again.

So, I would suggest inspecting them to see if they are leaking.

Here are a couple of guides that will help with this:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-replace-a-suspension-strut-and-spring

Please see the info below from the manual which is how to replace this. I suspect you will find oil seeping on the assembly, and it is covered in dust and dirt. If it is, then it needs to be replaced.

Please run through this info and let us know what you find.

Thanks
