I JUST PURCHASED THIS 2005 IMPALA THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE RADIO TURNS ON AND GETS THE DIFFERENT RADIO STATIONS AND WHEN YOU PUT A CD IN THE DISPLAY SAYS THAT ITS PLAYING THE PROBLEM IS I CANT HEAR ANYTHING. WHAT COULD BE WRONG? IT LOOKS LIKE AND AMP WAS PUT IN THE CAR I DONT KNOW IF THAT IS A STANDARD PART OF THIS CAR OR NOT HELP! PLEASE!

By "GETS THE DIFFERENT RADIO STATIONS", do you mean it can be tuned to different stations, like normal, or do you mean when you turn on the ignition switch, it resets to a different station than where you left it?

It should also display the time for a few seconds when you press the power button and the ignition switch is off. If it does not do that, and it resets to a different station, check for a blown memory circuit fuse. It may not be labeled for the radio. It could be tied in with a different circuit that is always live such as interior lights or horn.
