2005 Chevy Impala delay in taking off from stop postions

2005 Chevy Impala 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

When in stop position (red light) and i apply the gas it's a delay in car getting start and moving.

if it has electronic throttle body it will. how much of a delay is there and is there a check engine light on?
