Electrical problem
2005 Chevy Impala Two Wheel Drive Automatic 70,000 miles

the car quits when it wants to within a half hour. The dash lights then click on and off and eventually quit. I can jump the battery (which is new) and it starts right up, then the same scenario happens.

That sounds as if your alternator is bad. If you drive for a half-hour and loose all electrical power, but can charge the battery and all power is restored, then your alternator isn't charging the battery like it should.
