my speedometer stop working. Does that mean that there is something wrong with the transmission?

No. There is a VSS (vehicle speed sensor) at the transmission. With a scan tool connected to the vehicle, we want to know if the scan tool is seeing the MPH via the PCM.

If the scan tool is reading MPH, that would indicate a bad instrument cluster.
