I have had this car less than 2 months. First I started noticing a slight squeak when brakes are applied. This is getting continually worse. Under warranty I took it to the dealership who then told me this is normal for this car due to a new type of coating being used on some part of the brake. Now my brake light is going on intermittently. Also I am hearing a ping sound in the front left wheel area. I am taking a 1200 mile trip very soon. Anyideas or recommendations?

The dealership should diagnose the brake issue, if they won't, take it somewhere else. Better to be safe than sorry later.
