Transmission smell problems

I checked car fax when I bought it and found it was well maintained. No accidents. Have had no real problems in the last 13000 miles.

When I go up tall hills, if I push the car I get a bizarre smell, it is not exhaust, not smokey. I hear a dink sound that does not appear related to anything. Occasionally the transmission shifts hard or makes a dink noise when I am going from one low gear to another. I can occasionally smell at the end of a trip (short) what I am certain is transmission fluid. I did just have the transmission fluid changed but this is what prompted me to change it so I don't think this is new. Any ideas? Should I RUN?

You might have a slight trans leak. You should also have it scanned for tranny codes with a Tech 2 scanner. You might find a code that is not turning on the check engine light.
