2004 Chevy Impala speedometer

Just purchased vehicle yesterday. (Private sale) the speedometer is stuck at 25 mph. The odometer and trip meter do work. All other insterments seem to be working properly. Any info would be great.

Suspect faulty Vehicle Speed Sensor any problems with trans shift? If no then speedo maybe the fault

Reset the passlock system. That seems to have fixed the problem.
