Suspension problem
2004 Chevy Impala Front Wheel Drive Automatic 146000 miles

Hi, I just bought this car (04 Chevy Impala) I love it, however when you accelerate over 35mph it shakes violently on the passenger side of the vehicle. It only does this though when you have your foot on the gas. I am just curious what this could be? My boyfriend checked out the tires, and rims and it doesn't pull or anything. I have not taken it to a mechanic yet due to low funds but I'm worried this may be a huge problem, like the wheel falls off while I'm on the bypass. What else besides the obvious may cause this?

It sounds like a tire problem. Rotate them to see if the vibration chances locations.
