Hi

last week a friend of mine flushed my radiator for he said it was airbound due to the wrong coolant being put into the system.
Last night the car started blowing hot and cold air intermittly and the temperture gauge was going up. It did not over heat, I already put in 3 gallons of antifreeze and once again the overflow is empty. There is no fluid on the ground and no white smoke coming from the muffler.

I can not understand the wrong anti freeze but what I would do is with the engine cold open the radiator cap. If it is full then just fill the reserve. if not replace the cap and start the engine then remove the radiator cap. fill up the radiator and let the car run. when it gets hot the thermastat will open and the coolant will go down a little, then refill the radiator and run a couple of more minutes. Fill the radiator and put the radiator cap on. also fill the resevoir half way. If this does not help then you will have to have the system pressure checked.
