2003 Chevy Impala 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

My Security light in the message center keeps indicating. Sometimes it only comes on while driving and other times it will flash when I try to start the vehicle causing it not to start. I have to wait up to 10 mins. at times. What causes this to happen and how can I fix it?

sounds like you need a pass lock sensor. it is in the ignition lock cylinder. it is a common part to fail
