I have taken my car to the Chevrolet dealer when my check engine light came on. They told me I needed to replace the EGR valve, the 2 Oxygen sensors, and my intake gasket. Well I decided to get a second opinion on the intake gasket. The other mechanice said there was nothing wrong with the intake gasket. What is happening is that my car somtimes sputters and after all of this work it still will not pickup spead very fast. I have about $2000.00 in repairs to this vehicle and it still hisses like it has a vacume leak somewhere. It sputters and if I put the car into passing gear it just sits there and revs up. It am thinking it is a sensor since I had the transmission serviced about 6 months ago and they said everything is perfect with it. So any help please.

Thank you

If you could locate the hissing noise, that would be a big help in localizing the problem.
