i took of my alternator to change my spark plugs and wires and I lost a spacer that was on it and I cant find I need to either know the dimensions of that piece so I can make a make shift one untill I get the part from gm

Engineering dimensions are not readly accessible. Can you get one from a scrap yard? Or try a local shop, they may have some thing laying around you can use in there in the meantime.
