I have a 2003 Chevy Impala that the radio doesn't work. I stopped working after a battery terminal broke off one day and has been in locked out mode every since, multiple dealers have tried to unlock it unsuccessfully. My hypothesis is when the battery terminal was breaking off the intermittant power to the computer fried the section of the computer that allows it to unlock. On ebay there are computers for 70$ do you think this would repair my locked radio?

No. The radio needs to be reprogrammed with a tech 2 scanner. It has probably lost its memory due to the power failure. Have the dealership follow service information directions to program it. If that doesn't work, you will need a new radio.
