2003 Chevy Impala V8 Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 48000 miles

My car hesitates when i excelerate and I don't know why for example if i slow down to make a turn if I stop to quick it hesitates when i hit the gas again even when i only tap the gas also when i excelerate my meter moves but my car hesitates causing it to have a jerking motion what could cause this problem

have it scanned for codes. It could have a TCC solenoid sticking on. It could also be an engine misfire or a dirty throttle body.
