In my 02 impala about 3 months ago i was driving and the.security light came on a few min later the car shut off. Total power loss, i was still driving. I pulled over and it syarted again. It worked fine after that. A bout a week later i went to start it and it wouldnt start the security light was blinking. I left the car for a while came back and it started right up. Thia happened for a while. Then i started having to leave it in the on position for ten min shut it then it would start. After doing that for 2 weeks it stopped atarying. I brought it to my.mechanic and he said it was the ignition moduel, and the passlock system attached to it.. so he changed it.. i didnt get new keys, i was wondering if i should have...
After that it worked for a day and now im back to having to wait ten min for the security light to stop blinking..
So my question is, what could be causing thins and how do i fix it.. or what part is it

Hi lauren832, welcome to 2carpros and TY for the donation Your problem here could be the passlock sensor which is part of the ignition switch or the body control module If it comes out blurry give me your email addy, this is the best I could with this images
