2002 Chevy Impala only when it rains

recently my car has been running strange but only when it rains or when i drive through a puddle of water. it starts jerkin and the batt light comes on the goes off then the car turns off. i then have to wait about 10mins before it will start again. once it's started, it jerks. but when it a clear day out it will not do this. what can it be and who can fix it?

does it set a check engine light? you may have a spark plug wire arching causing a misfire.
